The Best of Chertsey has sponsored the development of these pages specifically to be able to bring you an insight into Chertsey through the ages. Chertsey, is a town steeped in history, from pre-Roman times to the present day.
We are greatly indebted to VICTOR SPINK NDD. Cert’ R.A.S. who is the author of this work entitled ‘A FEW ASPECTS OF CHERTSEY’S HISTORY’. As well as writing the text, Victor has also supplied the photographs and pictures that illustrate the pages.
When we first saw the work, we appreciated it would be of great interest, and thought it worthy of a much wider audience. Hence our decision to provide the facilities to publish it on the web.
